Serial Killer's Last Meals on Death Row

Whether you’re a true crime lover or not, it may have crossed your mind what people on death row decide to have as their last meal. If this thought has not occurred to you before, now it has! While some of the requests are as you would expect, large meals of steaks and desserts, some of the most notorious serial killers chose food that wouldn’t necessarily come to mind when thinking of what murderers had for their last meal before being executed. Here are the meals of 5 of the most famous serial killers in the United States.

Ted Bundy

To start off with, the infamous, Ted Bundy. You probably recognise Bundy’s name from the very popular Netflix Show ‘The Ted Bundy Tapes’, where

we learned of his raping, murdering and decapitation

of young women. When asked what he wanted for his

final meal before being executed by the electric chair, Bundy refused to answer, so was given the general meal of a steak, hash browns, eggs, toast, milk and juice.

John Wayne Gacy

Another memorable serial killer was John Wayne Gacy AKA ‘The Killer Clown’. Known for his sexually assaulting and murdering of young boys and men in the 70’s, Gacy was executed by lethal injection. He ordered a large last meal of a bucket of KFC chicken, fried shrimp, chips and a side order of strawberries.

Timothy McVeigh

Timothy McVeigh was responsible for the biggest

terror attack in the United States before the 9/11 bombing. 168 people were killed and 684 injured. The ex-army veteran received the lethal injection in 2001. As his final meal, he did not want starters or a full main course meal, instead he asked for two pints of mint chocolate chip ice-cream.

Victor Feguer

A less well known but still deadly serial killer would be Victor Feguer. He shot a doctor in the head, police believe he was trying to steal drugs from him but Dr. Bartles would not comply. The doctor’s body was found in a cornfield in Iowa. His story may not be very well known, but his last meal on death row is very memorable. Feguer requested a single olive that still has the pit in it. He was put to death by hanging and before he was buried, the pit of the olive was found in his suit pocket.

Aileen Wuornos

One of the most famous women to die by the death penalty is Aileen Wuornos. She was executed in 2002 by lethal injection for shooting seven men at point blank range. She stated that she acted in self defence against these men as they attempted to assault her. Instead of a last meal, Wuornos requested a cup of coffee.
