Baby (2) Drowned and Placed in Acid

A couple living in Texas, USA, have been jailed for the death of their two year old daughter. The child’s remains were found in February of this year but the exact cause of her death still remains unknown.

Her mother, Monica Dominguez, states that her daughter was left unsupervised in the bath which caused her to drown on her own but her injuries make it impossible to know how she lost her life. After her alleged drowning, Dominguez told the police that the child’s father, Gerardo Loredo, helped dispose of the body and used a bucket of acid to aid in dissolving her corpse.

Dominguez has been arrested previously, including charges relating to harming a child. She has been sentenced to 20 years, while Loredo was sentenced to 14 years. They were not charged with murder but for tampering with evidence, putting a child in danger and abuse of a corpse.
